This article is a very powerful one.  I had no idea of some of the statistics it provides.  For example, did you know that 50% of all litter is cigarette butts?  The United States smokers alone litter more than 250 billion cigarette butts a year.  These butts are toxic and not going anywhere, hence polluting our environment.  Read on to find out more information about How Does Smoking Hurt the Environment?

  1. Wow, that's a pretty surprising article! I never thought about how it could be effecting the environment, but it turns out it's killing it! I was shocked that Australia and the UK had so much! It's kind of scary to think about how all of these terrible chemicals are still ending up in our lives even if your making a effort to stay away from cigarettes and everything that goes along with them.

  2. Jeez, this is shocking. I guess it is pretty accurate to say that smoking does no good what so ever! Not only is it harming the individuals who are smoking, it also effects those around them and clearly has some negative impacts on the environment too. No good!
