Welcome to Kristy's Fun in the Sun Spot

Welcome to my blog.

Here is a photo of palm trees on the beach.

Hi, my name is Kristy and you have found yourself at Kristy's Fun in the Sun Spot.  I created this blog as part of my Environmental Health class.  I am a Health Education major with emphasis on Community Health.  My blog is about having fun in the sun.  I love being in the sun and the more I am in it, the happier I am.  I intend to make my blog fun and interesting, but also educational.  It is important to me to be safe in the sun.  I plan to educate on proper actions to take while being in the sun and provide tips to stay safe.

There will be 6 different types of posts on my blog.  These include the following:
  1. Advocacy Project
  2. Eye Openers
  3. Reflections
  4. Eco-Chic Lifestyle Change
  5. Read 'n' Seed
  6. Share and Voice
If you notice at the bottom of this post, the categories will be listed as labels. This post is has been labeled with all six kinds of posts. You will also see the number of each kind of post in my Labels Gadget at the top of the page. All post titles from now on will begin with one of the categories above.

The members of my web group are:

  1. Hi Kristy! Thanks for the wonderful comment. I do enjoy graphic/web design so I am more than glad to share some tips on computer technology if you are interested. I went to China in the summer of 2008 and thanks for the reminder. I will share some photos of China soon. I think you are a fast learning to be able to make your own cool header so I look forward to learn from you too.

  3. Kristy- very spunky background that you chose! I am also pretty new to this whole blog experience, so hopefully we can help each other along the way in case of confusion. Sun is very important to me, me being someone with SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and NEED my vitamin D every day. It warms me up inside and out :)
Look forward to learning more about you

  4. Hey Kristy, you sound exactly like me! I love being in sun and outside in nature. You said you want to make this blog fun and interesting, well you've already accomplished that with your fun and springy background! You have a feel of excitement with your blog created by the polka dot background. I'll definitely be back to visit again.

  7. I really like how bright your background is. I found it very easy to read with the black background with the yellow writing. How did you get the writing onto your front picture? I tried to do that but it doesn't look nearly as good!

  8. Jamie, the dots I got from Blogger, it was one of the designs.

Brier, for my header, I followed the directions Dr. V has posted on our class website..they were towards the bottom of the calendar page
